Princess Charlotte's 1st Day of Nursery School

Happy New Year, lovelies! 2018 is already promising to be quite exciting, with the birth of Cambridge baby 3 and a royal wedding to look forward to, and Charlotte has some exciting developments of her own! The littlest princess set off to her very first day of nursery school today, and she looks utterly delighted!
The Duchess of Cambridge snapped two photos of her daughter on the steps of Kensington Palace this morning in her first day of school outfit, and can we just say #outfitgoals? In one image, she's walking down the stairs excitedly and in the other, she's sitting with her hands in her lap and smiling in a way that will melt hearts the world over.
Charlotte is a pupil at The Willcocks Nursery School, the preschool located at the Holy Trinity Church in
London. The curriculum focuses on children's social, emotional, and physical development as well as communication and language through activities including singing, poetry, acting, show and tell, sports, cooking, painting, playing with musical instruments, and snack time. The school boasts excellent reviews from parents and the tiny tots who attend it as well as a hefty price tag (£3050 is the tuition for 1/2 day attendance, 5 days a week, for 1 term).
For her first day of school ensemble, Charlotte wore a gorgeous wool coat in a rich burgundy hue from Amaia, which retails for £120. We love the styling details including the front pocket flaps, cuffed sleeves, and Peter Pan style collar. This was over a matching, burgundy dress and paired ribbed tights in Oat, also available from Amaia (£12). Her look would not be complete without some fab accessories, which included burgundy Mary Janes from Doña Carmen Bebe (29,95 €), a medium burgundy hair bow from Amaia (Charlotte's signature 'do!), and a light pink scarf (get a similar look) and backpack from Cath Kidston featuring a horse print and polka dot straps (with thanks to @estelle_attire for the ID!). UPDATE 1/9/18: Charlotte's scarf has been identified! It is a pink, cable-knit cashmere from Marie Chantal.
