A Cambridge Christmas Photo

We were hoping the Cambridges would release a Christmas photo sometime in December and this morning our wishes were granted! Photographed by Chris Jackson at Kensington Palace earlier this year, the photo shows the smiling family of four (soon to be five!) in outfits we’ve previously seen. If we were to guess, this photo was taken sometime prior to the Germany/Poland tour. George’s 4th birthday portrait was likely taken at this time as well, considering the Amaia Kids Pereprine shirt he’s wearing, the photographer, and the simple backdrop. Additionally, George repeated his Vaello belt and UFO navy shorts that we saw during the tour, and his Papouelli Barnie Leather moccassin, a style he's worn since last fall.
Charlotte also repeated a look from the royal tour, wearing the same pastel blue, liberty print dress that she wore upon arrival in Berlin. Much to our chagrin, the designer of Charlotte’s many smocked dresses remains a mystery - perhaps they’re bespoke? Charlotte accessorized with her Doña Carmen Mercidita Suela Mary Janes in Royal Blue and Condor Socks. She appears to be wearing an Amaia bow in her hair as well, which has become a bit of a style staple for her.
Speaking of Charlotte, beginning next month she will attend nursery school at The Willcocks Nursery School in London. We had thought it likely Will and Kate would send her to Thomas’s with George, but believe Willcocks to be an excellent choice. The school is located in the church hall of Holy Trinity Church and has been in operation since 1964. We especially love the fact that it’s run by an all-female staff! The convenient location and the school’s focus on “high standards, excellence and good manners” makes it a most appealing choice.
In other news, did you see George’s adorable letter to Santa? While in Finland, William stopped by a traditional Christmas Market and shared George’s Christmas list with Santa. Apparently the only thing the future king wanted was a police car. Given George’s known love of anything with a motor, this choice doesn’t come as a surprise! Perhaps he’ll receive a Lion King DVD as well?
Wishing you all a lovely holiday season and the best in 2018!
