Happy 4th Birthday, Prince George!

Yesterday, Kensington Palace released a birthday image of Prince George, who turns four TODAY! Where has the time gone? The photo was taken at Kensington Palace at the end of June by Chris Jackson – who is married to Kate's personal assistant Natasha Archer. Jackson said of George, "He is such a happy boy and certainly injects some fun into a photoshoot."

In the photo, a close-up portrait shot of George with an open mouth grin and a mischievous sparkle in his eye, George wore Pereprine Shirt by Amaia (currently £21). This long-sleeve, cotton top features blue and white vertical stripes, a mandarin collar, and buttons half way down the front of the shirt for a classic, summery look.

The family is now home from the Royal Tour to Poland and Germany, so we believe they will be celebrating with a tea-party, and with the Middletons' party-planning business, the celebration is sure to be a delight!

The Daily Mail included a round up of suspected birthday gifts in their article about George's birthday, and the list include a butterfly garden kit, a children's microscope, Hornby model trains, and a toy walkie talkie because George reportedly likes the walkie talkies used by his bodyguards.

George's fourth year will be an eventful one! He will be moving to London with his family to begin school at Thomas's, a co-ed school in Battersea which claims the core values of kindness, courtesy, and confidence. But don't worry too much – the family still plans to spend weekends and holidays at Anmer Hall in rural Norfolk, so George will continue to have opportunities for romps outside and farm visits.
