At the annual Trooping the Colour Event on Saturday, June 17th, which was the official celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 91st birthday, we were treated to an annual appearance of our favorite Prince and Princess alongside a number of the other royals. Four generations appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace!

We were able to see the young royals before they went out on the balcony – Charlotte peeking out the window from behind the curtain and George with his nose smushed against the window. This was just the start of the many memorable faces of George, who was photographed making every facial expression from a look of utter boredom to his classic grin and wave.

The past two years, George was seen wearing his dad's heirloom outfits – in 2016, he wore a pale blue and white outfit worn by William at the christening of Prince Harry in 1984, and in 2015, he wore a blue romper William had worn for Trooping the Colour, also from 1984. However this year, the family opted to instead preset themselves in coordinated outfit in a vibrant red and pink palette, so George did not wear an heirloom piece.

George wore a pleated front ivory shirt featuring a peter pan collar and burgundy piping along the cuff and collar. This was tucked into what appears to be a pair of burgundy sorts with matching suspenders. Charlotte wore a pink liberty print dress, similar to the styles we've seen her wear in the past. The dress featured a smocked bodice, ruffled collar, puffed sleeves, and a button up back. Her look was completed with her signature accessories – an Amaia Kids Small Hair Bow in Burgundy (£2.00 or about $2.60) and Doña Carmen Mercedita Suela Mary Janes in Maroon (€29.95 or about $33.68), which is the same style Charlotte was seen wearing when leaving Canada in the fall.
