Queen's Annual Pre-Christmas Luncheon

‘Tis the season for the Queen’s annual Christmas Luncheon, and today we were treated to a few images of the Cambridge family’s arrival. As in previous years, George and Charlotte attended, and while we were not able to see anything beyond the top of the tiny Princess’s head, we did get a good look at the little prince! George wore a navy wool coat from Amaia over a plaid shirt, similar to the Neck & Neck and Pepa & Co. pieces we saw him wear in Canada this autumn. The piping on that jacket is absolutely adorable!
This may be the last time George and Charlotte see their great-grandparents before Christmas, as the Cambridges have elected to spend the holiday in Bucklebury with the Middletons this year. While the decision to forego Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham is controversial, this is actually the second time the non-traditional Will and Kate have chosen to spend the day with Kate’s family. We expect to see a few photos of the family attending church at St. Mark’s (like we did in 2012), but we cannot conclusively say if George and Charlotte will be in attendance. Perhaps George will stay home and sneakily unwrap a few more of his presents? What we can say is there will be a Scout teddy bear under the tree!
The Cambridge family has also chosen not to release a holiday photo to the public this year, but that hasn’t stopped them from enjoying a few holiday festivities! George and Charlotte were recently spotted with Kate at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular in Norfolk. According to choreographer Tracey Iliffe, the children especially enjoyed the teddy bear performance. This is at least the second time George has attended the variety show. It may become a holiday tradition for the young family!
We will be spending Christmas with our families but will be back after the holiday if George and Charlotte attend church with the Middletons on Christmas Day. Wishing you all a very happy holiday season!
