George and Charlotte Arrive in Canada

This past Saturday, the Cambridges landed in Victoria, British Columbia to commence the Royal Visit in Canada – the first Royal Tour that Princess Charlotte accompanies her parents! The family arrived on a private jet (a Canadian Air Force plane), and all four emerged smiling and waving...and wearing coordinating blue ensembles. Perhaps the color choice was a nod to the Flag of Victoria. Or maybe Wills and George chose it.

The Cambridges have been staying – and will continue to stay – at the Government House in Victoria for the duration of their tour. Their nanny, Maria Borrallo, also traveled with the family to take care of George and Charlotte while William and Catherine attend official engagements.

George’s ensemble was almost completely by Pepa & Co. He wore the Boys Plaid Shirt – Blue and Beige (£39) under the Sweater Wooden Buttons – Blue (£42) with Baby Shorts – Navy (£36). We were a bit skeptical about the shorts, as online they only come in baby sizes, but the brand insists they also offer sizing that would accommodate a boy of George’s age.

He accessorized the look with navy knee socks and his first pair of classic, lace-up dress shoes – the John in Navy Blue Leather by trusted brand, Start Rite. These retail from £55-65. Note that in the smaller sizes, the shoes only feature three eyelets for the laces, but in larger sizes (like the pair George is wearing) they feature four eyelets.

Charlotte wore a white dress with baby blue liberty print detailing, a smocked chest, and a peter pan collar. The stitching around the collar and the sleeves as well as the buttons down half the back and the back sash detail are almost identical to the UFO dress Charlotte wore to the 2016 Trooping the Colour, which leads us to believe they are from the same designer. Could this be a brand without a web presence or an independent dressmaker?

She accessorized with her Small Bow in Capri blue from Amaia (£2.50) and the Fancy Folded Cuff Socks by Condor (the same company that makes the Amaia socks we see frequently see the children wear) in cream ($8). We originally thought Charlotte wore the Mercedes Shoes from m&h (19.95 €), but after searching for additional imagery, we’ve concluded the bottom soles do not match and are still on the hunt.*

When will we see them next? Our favorite little Prince and Princess are scheduled to attend a children’s party for military families tomorrow, to take place at the Government House. We also anticipate seeing them boarding the aircraft to return home on October 1st. Check in with us tomorrow to get the latest on what pieces George and Charlotte are wearing!

Charlotte's shoes are by Spanish brand, Doña Carmen. She wears the Mercedita Suela model in Azul Francia.
