Prince George Rides a Motorbike!

Although the Duchess of Cambridge had a garden party to attend this afternoon (and at Buckingham Palace, no less), it didn’t stop her from having some fun with George and Charlotte before hand. Images emerged this afternoon of Prince George climbing onto a Metropolitan Police motorbike with the help of four officers. Kate stood close by with Charlotte, who appears to have happily taken over George’s old Silver Cross Sleepover Elegance pram. Unfortunately Charlotte cannot be seen inside of the pram. Avid royal watchers won’t be able to help drawing a parallel between today’s photographs and the November 1987 images of Princes William and Harry astride a motorcycle during a visit to the police force. The Daily Mail reports that the Cambridge family had stepped outside to see off Princess Anne in her helicopter. We know that young George, much like his father, has an affinity for flying.
Although the images are too blurry to make any definitive IDs, George wore a navy and white breton striped sweater* over a blue collared shirt and paired with navy shorts, sticking to his uniform of navy and the occasional breton stripe, like mum. This is actually the second set of paparazzi images of Kate and the Cambridge children to appear this week. A second set of photographs, snapped by Ashley Guitrau in Kensington Gardens yesterday, shows a rather blurry George wearing a navy sweater, navy shorts, and navy shoes. The boy knows his color!
The next event that we expect to see Prince George at, and maybe even Princess Charlotte, is Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 11. Unfortunately, we will not be covering this specific event live.
