Official Christening Portraits Revealed

Are you ready for this? The Christening photos arrived today, and they are out of control adorable.
Four official photos by photographer, Mario Testino, were released to commemorate Princess Charlotte’s christening. Mario Testino famously photographed Princess Diana for Vanity Fair in 1997, and the British royal family have frequently commissioned him since, including for William and Catherine’s engagement photos in 2010. Testino told ET, "Photographing Princess Charlotte's christening was an amazing experience. What impressed me the most was the energy of the family, and of that between the Duke and Duchess. One sees how solid they are together and one gets a sense of their strong family values. It was incredible to be able to document four generations of the British Royal Family together -- the monarch and
three heirs to the throne -- and very heartwarming to see the close relationship between them all.” So sweet! The family’s closeness is evident in their tender expressions in the photograph. Testino did a great job capturing their emotions and love.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson said, “They [The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge] are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them as much as they do.”
The photos include a mother-daughter shot, featuring a glowing Kate looking lovingly down upon Charlotte; a black and white father-son shot, featuring George and Wills joyfully smiling; a formal family photo*, taken in the drawing room of the Queen’s private Norfolk residence, Sandringham House; and a more casual photo of the family of four.
George, of course, is wearing the Rachel Riley Smocked Set that he donned for the actual christening earlier that day and accesorized with his trusty Start Rite Jo shoes. Quintessential Cheeks!
And now for a quick update on George’s latest outing to Snettisham Park - Cath Kidston have informed us that George is not wearing their Farmyard Gilet now that better quality images have been released. However, these new photos have also revealed that George wore his trusty Petit Bateau Baby Boy Overalls in Blocked Jersey (now on sale, but limited sizes available)! Keep your eyes out, friends, for any leads on the tractor vest or contrast trim cardigan. They’re both too cute for us not to know who made them!
