Snettisham Park.jpg

Have you seen the photos of Prince George playing with Mummy in Snettisham Park yet released by People Magazine - Germany? The two were spotted romping around with some pretty awesome, John Deere-like pedal tractors in what is quickly proving to be George’s favorite playdate location. It looked like a truly fun and casual excursion, and we think it’s absolutely wonderful to see that Kate has been making intentional time to spend one-on-one with her eldest.

George was smartly dressed in light layers, the perfect option for a sunny but slightly brisk day. With all that intense playing, George surely warmed up, which was easily

accommodated by removing his outermost layer - a very smart move, on Mummy’s part. He was adorably dressed in the theme of the day - tractors! We believe that George may have worn this Boys Farmyard Gilet from Cath Kidston. It is currently sold out, but was described as, “A bright boys gilet to keep off the chill. Padded and zipped for a cosy fit.” It originally retailed for $45 (£28). We’ve reached out to Cath Kidston to confirm the piece*. If you love the tractor print, Cath Kidston still has this jacket in stock. Additionally, we found these wellies by Joules in a similar navy tractor print if you would like to Repli-Cambridge.

Underneath the vest, George wore a brown cardigan with contrast tan trim. So far, we’ve yet to ID this piece. As always, we’d love to hear if you have any ideas on who made it! His base layer was a trusty white polo, which we often see George wearing. Definitely a wardrobe staple!

On the bottom, George wore navy pants which look similar to Trotters Childrenswear navy Peter Pull Ups by Thomas Brown*. It has the same classic fit, 5 pocket detailing, and colourway we see on George. Plus, it’s sold by a very George-approved brand and comes in both sizes 24 months and 2 years. He completed the ensemble with his Startrite Navy Flexy Soft Airs, the perfect shoe for a day at the park.

We loved this fun look, absolutely appropriate for the outing. Okay, we might nerdily love dressing for the theme of the event, so the tractors really stole our hearts this time.

Remember, we’ll be seeing more of our favorite royal family this weekend, as Princess Charlotte’s christening is scheduled for Sunday. Stay tuned for the sartorial coverage on what the Cambridge children are wearing. Hint: Charlotte’s dress will be an heirloom we’ve seen before ;-)

* UPDATE 7/9/15 - Cath Kidston has confirmed that unfortunately George's vest is NOT by them. Better photos reveal that George is actually wearing his Petit Bateau Baby Boy Overalls.
