What’s going on?
Kate is believed to be a week overdue, which is driving fans across the globe completely bananas. Kate has been spotted using the pool in Buckingham Palace two consecutive days, maybe to take George for swimming lessons (squee!) maybe to induce labor (which is fine by us as well). We can’t blame her. We are all ready for this prince or princess to make an appearance! May 4th has emerged as the new favorite date among bookies for the birth of Royal Baby 2.0, suggesting that the full moon will send the Duchess into labor. Indeed, George's July 22 birth happend at this stage in the lunar cycle. Parking restrictions outside the Lindo Wing have been extended till May 5th.
What happens once the Duchess goes into labor?

Besides hyperventilating and staring at the door of the Lindo Wing on our computer screens via the live-feed? The official announcement will be made that Kate has been admitted to the hospital (probably a few hours after it happens). Of course Twitter may likely be the place where the news is first broken informally...thus we all continue to refresh our feeds even during the "blackout", as some are calling the time between 5pm-3am EDT (when the Queen is sleeping)! Once Kate's admittance is verified, media organisations will undoubtedly scramble to the hospital (since they agreed not to camp out in front of the Lindo Wing until this official announcement has been made). Guy Thorpe-Beeston, surgeon-gynaecologist to the Royal Household, will be leading the medical team attending the Duchess along with Alan Farthing, surgeon-gynaecologist to the Queen.
How will I be notified?
After Kate gives birth, family will be informed, starting with the Queen and carrying right on down the line. For those Prince Harry fans out there, don't worry! He will be notified of the birth of his new niece or nephew regardless of the Australia time difference. Kensington Palace will tweet the announcement, and then will come the traditional signed announcement (by the delivery team), inconspicuously transferred via car to Buckingham Palace, where it will be displayed on an easel. The frame will be put on the same gold-painted stand that was used for the birth of Prince George and was also used for the birth of Prince William. Once the easel is up, the Monarchy’s Instagram site and Google+ accounts will exhibit photos of the announcement.
Who will visit the hospital?

We expect the Middletons will visit the new addition to the family at the Lindo Wing, but it is extremely unlikely Harry will come back from Australia for this event. So far, no final word has been given if George will be among the visitors to his new little brother or sister, but it's certainly not impossible. Who can forget those images of Wills visiting Prince Harry when he was born? If George does appear, it will be the first time he has been seen in any official capacity in the UK since his own birth. We, of course, are still trying to figure out how to get an invitation...
So, is it a girl?
We hope so, and so does the betting public! Up to 80 percent of all bets on the baby's gender are being wagered on a girl! Even Prince Charles admitted he is hoping for a granddaughter. However, the couple chose to leave the sex of Royal Baby 2.0 a surprise, as they did with George. Consider this the biggest gender-reveal party of the year. Team pink!
According to William Hill, there has been a big move in the last 24 hours for the Royal baby to be named Charlotte, although Alice has been the longtime favorite.
Time for the important questions. When will we see the baby?
The newly enlarged family will likely leave the hospital the following day, and this event will be live streamed. We may not learn the name of the baby for another day or so, however, as was the case with George.
What will Royal Baby 2.0 be wearing?

We expect to see the newest prince or princess swaddled, perhaps in the latest line of aden + anais
blankets. However, this probably won't be apparent at first because he or she will likely also be wrapped snugly in a soft, white or ivory heirloom blanket or christening shawl, much like George. While we believe the blanket will be unique to the prince or princess, G.H. Hurt & Son or Johnstons of Elgin are likely manufacturers. Kate, known for her propensity to reuse items, will likely secure Royal Baby 2.0 in the same Britax car seat the Cambridges took Geroge home in almost 2 years ago. And with this moment comes the start of a new fashion icon. How excited are we?

What will George wear?
Okay, okay, we know there is no guarantee George will be present, but if he is, we bet Cheeks will be sporting some of his favorite brands. He will almost certainly be wearing Start-Rite shoes, and we expect at least one piece from Rachel Riley, Cath Kidston, or Amaia Kids on this momentous occasion. One thing we can likely guarantee - he will be wearing blue. Unless Kate throws us a curve ball and puts him in red out of homage to young Wills, that is!
