NY Daily News today featured a never before seen photo of the Duchess of Cambridge carrying Prince George. We are loving all this quality Mummy and Son time! Although the circumstances of the photo are unknown, and we only see George from behind, we still love this shot! George is sporting a longer mop of blonde locks, presumably tousled by his always active play dates. He is wearing his dungarees in his signature color, navy, along with new navy shoes, socks, and a gorgeous tweed jacket.

The sneakers are the Flexy-Soft Air in Navy Blue Leather from the faithful brand, Start Rite. The leather upper and liner ensure the quality of these shoes, and the riptape fastenings are essential for a secure fit, especially on an active toddler like George! The style is very similar to the Start Rite pair Kate reportedly purchased in March. These retail for £40 (about $60).

He kept cosy with matching navy socks. Although we don’t know the brand of these, we do know George owns these navy socks by Amaia Kids! You can get a similar look with these affordable Jefferies Socks from Amazon.

We saw another familiar brand in this photo; we believe George’s navy dungarees are from Petit Bateau and retail for $92. Cheeks wore short dungarees (they're now back in stock here) from Petit Bateau in his birthday portraits by John Stillwell, and it is unsurprising he continues to wear a familiar look and brand. The adjustable straps and interior leg poppas make this classic wardrobe item convenient and comfortable.

Finally, Cheeks topped the outfit with a beautiful, UFO tweed coat. The fabric and pattern look like it could be made from Harris Tweed, which the Harris Tweed Company Grosebay describes as: “...a beautiful, intricate luxury fabric famed for its unique quality and heritage. It is woven from pure virgin wools, principally taken from flocks reared on the Scottish mainland. All Harris Tweed is inspected and certified by the Harris Tweed Authority, and stamped for authenticity with the Orb logo. The official definition of Harris Tweed is 'Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides'." Prince Charles is certainly a fan; he and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Harris Tweed Company Grosebay in June 2011. Perhaps George's overcheck herringbone piece is bespoke, or perhaps it is just waiting to be identified! Either way, you can recreate this gorgeous and classic look with one of these tweed coats for boys: Kevin’s Boys Tweed Field Coat Jr. , Caramel Baby and Child Beige Tweed Wool Coat, Rydale Junior Derby Tweed Jacket, or this Ralph Lauren Tweed Jacket specifically for little girls.

Louise Nichols, editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, said when Kate was pregnant with Cheeks, “I remember a lot of matching outfits when William and Harry were growing up. I think some very traditional English dressing with very preppy, tweed looks will happen for sure.” Looks like Nichols’s prediction is finally coming true!

What do you think of the traditional look?
