Happy Weekend, Friends! Yesterday, we were treated with a glimpse at a never before seen photograph of His Royal Highness Prince Charles holding and gazing lovingly at his grandson, His Royal Highness Prince George, who is curiously pointing at something in the distance. This sweet photograph appears framed in the background of Prince Charles’s latest video. This is the second photo we’ve seen of Charles holding George, the first also appearing in the background of a video in the Garden Room at Clarence House, and it shows Charles holding George at his christening. Rebecca English of the Daily Mail pithily stated, “If only [the] palace would release shots like this (in background) publicly. It shows a side to the POW that few ever see…” We couldn’t agree more; sharing these intimate moments with the public is quite endearing and exhibits the Prince’s softer side, although this could have been a subtle and well played move by the Palace PR.

For the new image of George and Grandpa, George appears to be wearing his Rachel Riley Sailboat Smocked Dungarees which retail for $159 as seen by the cross over straps in the back. Underneath, he wears a white polo, which could be his Petit Bateau Bodysuit with Polo Shirt Neck in Ecume which retails for about $23. The white, bucket hat (similar to this one from Zutano) was first spotted on George in Hyde Park last July. All the items in the photograph are ones we’ve seen him wear in the past, reminding us of his mum’s frugal tendencies. All of the items are currently available and are seasonably appropriate!
