Spring, Shopping, Shoes: Reported Purchases

Happy spring, lovelies! With the promise of warmer weather, brighter colors, and new life (cough, Royal Baby 2.0, cough) on the horizon, we here at PGP get a serious itch to freshen up our wardrobes and homes, which, of course, means shopping. Seems like we aren’t the only ones that have been bitten with the shopping bug; Kate was spotted out and about yesterday, reportedly purchasing some footwear for Cheeks and Royal Baby 2.0. Warning: this post is full of us squeeling in delight!

At Trotters, one of Kate’s favorite establishments to shop for George, reports have it that she picked up a pair of Start-Rite Flexy-Soft Milan Navy Blue Leather Casual Shoes. Start-Rite is another familiar brand for George, who already owns the Jo T-Strap in Navy. This new pair of trainers is perfect for casual outings to the park as the weather warms and George must be continually growing and becoming more active. Perfect for play dates! The trainers stay consistent with Cheeks’ typical navy color palette… Seriously, Wills must have something to do with this! The Milan retailed for £40 /$59.75, but has since sold out (could this be the George effect?). Stay tuned; we promise to update if they become available again!

The Duchess was also seen at another familiar and favored retailer - Zara. Paparazzi photos show her carrying what appear to be the most adorable pair of Leather Bluchers from the Zara Mini line (with thanks to @HRHBabyWatch). These tan beauties look so soft and sweet, and we are tempted to purchase a pair to decorate our desks, because, seriously, they’re adorable and a total steal at $35.90. This purchase isn’t confirmed, however, but we’d love to see a royal baby sporting these sweet pair of shoes. Currently, they’re only available in sizes for infants on the website; considering the neutral color and unknown gender of George’s new sibling, perhaps Mummy was curating the wardrobe for Royal Baby 2.0?
Kate also went shopping on March 10 at Amaia Kids, but no purchases have been reported from that particular outing. She was seen browsing clothing for both genders, probably getting ideas for her new little one. The spring summer collection for Amaia Kids is now available both in stores and online, and it’s the perfect place to buy some fresh, seasonal updates for your little prince or princess.
With the second royal birth expected in mid-late April, we are happy to see Kate out and about, especially spending quality time with George. In the past two weeks, Mummy and son have been to a play center and the Science Museum, and George has been photographed seeing Kate off to an engagement, it seems. What a precious time before their family’s upcoming change for mother and son to absorb and cherish these moments together.
*UPDATE 3/24/2015 - The Start Rite shoes are back in stock!
