Wow! It’s been 8 months since we started Prince George Pieces, and over that time we’ve seen His Royal Cuteness in a variety of adorable ensembles. Our little prince adores navy, much like his Dad, and sported blue as a primary color in 8 of his 12 appearances (that’s a pretty hefty percentage). He also rocks collared shirts, from polos to peter pan collars, frequently peeking out from underneath a cardigan or jumper. Per tradition, George primarily appears in short trousers - we expect to see this pattern continue until around age 8.

We were treated to a few sightings of traditional smocking, and George obviously loves to romp

Prince Geoge Pieces Jo Start Rite Shoe

in functional dungarees. Over 2014, our quickly mobile Prince crawled around in classic, leather pre-walkers by Early Days; however, he has recently graduated into a more advanced pair of shoes, the Jo by Start Rite, which support his feet now that he is tottering about. These shoes maintain the traditional look, and we expect they will be his staple footwear in 2015. While the Jo also comes in red currently, we wouldn’t mind seeing the company expand color options - black, ivory, and brown would all be nice additions!

Prince George Cath Kidston Guardsman

A true ruler in the making, George supports the UK fashion industry, wearing guards on two of his knit pieces. He additionally reportedly owns another distinctly British sweater, and the future king mostly wears British brands including Amaia, Cath Kidston, Corgi, Rachel Riley, and Trotters among others. He also frequently appeared in very traditional clothing, often resembling outfits Harry and Wills were seen in as children. Rachel Riley currently holds the spot of most worn designer (in official appearances), and we do expect to see George repeat many of the same designers in the upcoming year. Mummy knows to stick with a great brand once she finds them.

So what was your favorite Prince George outfit of 2014? Was it from the Royal Tour or one of the official photographs? Make sure to vote in our poll on the right side of this page! Do you have any outfit predictions (or hopes!) for 2015? Comment below, and tell us what you think George will be wearing. Here’s to hoping for coordinating sibling outfits in 2015.

As 2014 comes to a close, we are spending some time reflecting on this past, exciting year and making plans for an even more thrilling 2015. With last spring came the birth of Prince George Pieces: Aristocratic Accoutrements, and we have been so blessed to watch it grow organically and to get to know so many of you! Spring 2015 will bring a new birth - Royal Baby 2.0 - and with that we promise 2015 will be a year of continued growth for the blog, and we will be showering you all with many surprises! Thank you for sharing our love of royals, fashion, and Cheeks (duh!). Cheers to a sparkly New Year!
