Queen's Annual Pre-Christmas Luncheon

We caught just the slightest glimpse of His Royal Cuteness today in the backseat of William and Catherine’s car, seated right next to Nanny Maria. The royal family was rolling into Buckingham Palace to celebrate the holidays with Granny and many members of the extended family. The Cambridges will also be present on Christmas Day at Sandringham, but only the closest royal family members are invited to attend on the 25th.

The only picture of George from today’s luncheon shows him with wide, inquisitive eyes; though, not enough of his outfit is shown to make any identifications. However, George clutched a bright, yellow book. Daily Mail believes it looks like a Curious George book - it is particularly adorable to imagine our little Prince “reading” about the monkey who shares his name and probably some of his shenanigans. Any of you Mummies, Daddies, Aunties, Uncles, Teachers, or general children’s literature lovers out there have another guess at the book? Comment below!

* UPDATE *

It turns out George's book of choice wasn't Curious George, as originally thought, but Dig Dig Digging by Margaret Mayo, with thanks to Emily Andrews. The bright, noise-filled, book is full of tractors, fire engines, and helicopters - perfect for the little Prince who, according to Will and Kate, loves tractors and excavators.
