It's official! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child, which means Prince George is going to be a big brother! Clarence House made the announcement this morning when Kate had to back out of a scheduled appearance with William at the new Oxford China Centre at St. Hugh's College.

As with her first pregnancy, Kate is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, or acute morning sickness, prompting the early announcement. Royal watchers will recall that Kate was hospitalized for the condition in December 2012.

Hyperemesis gravidarum usually occurs during the first trimester of pregnancy meaning that Kate will likely give birth in the spring, between March and May! For now, the Duchess remains under the supervision of doctors within the comfort of Kensington Palace. It is hoped she will recover in a few weeks time.
We at Prince George Pieces couldn't be more thrilled for the Cambridge family and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of George's little sibling! The two youngsters will be very close in age, much like William and Harry as well as Kate and Pippa, and George will surely enjoy a playmate in the royal nursery. The new royal baby will be 4th in line to the throne. We can hardly contain our excitement - is it spring yet?
