On Tuesday George is turning one, and to commemorate this momentous event the Cambridges are releasing three photos of the little Prince. The first image was published this evening with the other two to be released on Monday at 5:30 pm EDT (10:30 in the UK), in time for the Tuesday papers. The photographs were taken at the "Sensational Butterflies" exhibition at London's Natural History Museum (where the Duchess is a patron), earlier this month by John Stillwell. George was described as "very lively, very confident & very sure of himself...a very determined young boy" who "looks like his dad."

In this first image we see "Cheeks" toddling about wearing a pair of Petit Bateau "Short Cotton Cloth Dungarees With Stripes" in surf blue, and a matching "Short-sleeved Cotton Bodysuit with Polo Shirt Neck". It also comes in white and could be the same piece George wore under his Neck & Neck dungarees on Fathers Day. Both pieces are currently on sale and still available in the US for $50.40 and $26.60, respectively. George accessorized with his trusty Early Days Alex Pre-walkers, and navy socks. It is interesting to note that in the photograph, George's overall straps seem to be inside out. We're waiting to see if Petit Bateau makes a pair like this that is currently unavailable online, or if George's were reversed specifically for artistic reasons.

In other news, German start up brand, Jupiduu, is reporting that someone at Kensington Palace ordered their wooden children's slide in blue via Amazon. It wasn't until the company prepared the order to ship that they realized just where it was headed. The slide retails for about $266 and with all his energy, we're sure the Prince of Cuteness will enjoy it!

We'll see you all back here with more birthday updates soon! In the mean time, don't forget to sign up for our Smocked Sailboat Romper giveaway with Les Petites Abeilles!

UPDATE 7/21/14:

According to Emily Andrews at the Sun, the Palace reports the Jupiduu slide was a PR hoax.
