We’ve been having Prince George withdrawals, so in case you missed out on one of Prince George’s classic looks during the Royal Tour, PGP put together this handy review guide for you to get caught up on the petite sartorial power’s outfits (and to relive all of the squeal enducing moments).
Sydney Plane Transfer: George debuted his signature color, blue, in a navy moss stitch cardigan by Rachel Riley with matching navy footie while Daddy carried Cheeks’ carry on - an adorable kangaroo backpack by Save the Koala.
Arrival in Wellington: The Prince changed into something fresh during the transfer flight, emerging in NZ wearing a sailboat, smocked romper by Les Petites Abeilles, and an unidentified ivory cardigan with Royal Guard embroidered on the front. He completed the ivory ensemble with Alex Pre-Walker shoes by Early Days.
Plunket Playgroup: The next time His Royal Cuteness appeared was at his first official engagement, the most adorable playdate ever! George sported the Milo Body by Chelsea Clothing Co., available at Trotters. He also wore navy Sailboat Smocked Dungarees by Rachel Riley. He coordinated perfectly, once again, with navy socks and Early Days Alex Pre-Walkers in navy.
Goodbye NZ: Prince George wore repeating pieces upon his New Zealand departure - his Rachel Riley UK navy sailboat jumper, Trotters Chelsea Clothing Co. Milo onesie, Early Days navy Alex shoes, and the still unidentified cream New Zealand arrival cardigan with British soldiers knit on the bottom, right corner.
Arrival in Oz: Emerging from the plane, Cheeks was back in his Les Petites Abeilles romper, showing his affinity for sailboats and recycling pieces! He paired the romper with his trusty Alex shoes in ivory.
Easter Egg Hunt: George was next spotted Easter morning, searching for Easter eggs with his family. He sported a Rachel Riley outfit, wearing their Stripe Jersey Polo tucked into the French blue cotton poplin Pocket Shorts, and the navy, Moss Stitch Cardigan. He completed this with Early Days Alex pre-walkers in navy.
Taronga Zoo: No outfit change for George! He kept his cute Rachel Riley outfit on from the Easter Egg Hunt but ditched the sweater in the afternoon heat.
Flight to Canberra: To complete a very busy day, Cheeks wore a Rachel Riley Moss Stitch Cardigan in dark sky blue (you’ve seen it before in navy) with Rachel Riley Baby Boys Navy Cotton Shorts. As usual, George sported his trusty Early Days Alex pre-walkers in navy.
Strolling with Mum: Adorable shots of our favorite baby boy playing outside show him in a collared onesie with a greyish blue long sleeve sweater, a light olive-gray, possibly corduroy pants, and his Alex pre-walker navy shoes by Early Days. While the quality of the pictures make it impossible to know for certain what George was wearing, the sweater could be the Baby Godfrey Cashmere Sweater from Marie-Chantal children.
Concluding the Tour: George wore red and white striped, short dungarees made by Neck & Neck. It is certainly possible, although not confirmed, that Cheeks wore Neck & Neck’s matching White Detail Polo under the overalls. He kept warm in an unidentified red cardigan and accessorized with his navy, Alex shoes.
We’ve concluded that George’s style is characterized by a few distinct choices. He loves the color blue, just like his dad. He also prefers classic smocking (especially featuring sailboats), rompers, and cardigans, taking fashion cues from his family. His clothes are practical and high quality, providing comfort in luxe fabrics that are still easy to wash in case of spit up. A fashion lesson from George’s wardrobe - layering accommodates changing temperatures. We’ve also learned from watching Cheeks that when you find something good, get one in every color!
With all of these sweet and classic looks, it’s hard to choose a favorite, but we want to hear yours! Which outfit had you scrambling to purchase the pieces or replicate, and which outfit left you underwhelmed? Tell us all about it!
