We are only three days away from the Royal Tour and just one day from the OFFICIAL launch of Prince George Pieces! In anticipation of these events, today we are posting a preview covering alleged purchases for George.
In late April 2013, the pregnant Kate, on a shopping excursion with her mother, Carole Middleton, visited the popular children's clothing and furniture store, Blue Almonds. The two women were photographed exiting carrying what appears to be a white, whicker crib or Moses basket. When contacted, Blue Almonds refused to comment out of respect for their customers' privacy. Interestingly, the handles differ in color – one white and one brown. The basket does not match any of the items on the Blue Almonds website, but it is important to note that Blue Almonds makes bespoke items and frequently customizes pieces for clients. Considering the differing handles and Kate's love for antiquing, PGP believes this could be a vintage piece Kate and Carole took to the store for repairs or measurements for custom bedding and shades. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this mystery bassinet!
Shortly after, the Duchess, in conversation at a reception, mentioned purchasing a Bugaboo stroller. However, Kate has not been spotted using this brand of pram since George's birth.
In preparation for Christmas, the new mom reportedly purchased two adorably patriotic gifts for Prince George from Trotters. George was sure to be snug in a grey, long sleeve t-shirt with the Royal Guards on his chest layered under a thick, navy sweater with a Union flag emblazoned on the front. George reportedly wore this jumper during a press conference at Buckingham Palace in March 2014. What we would give for a photo of the future king wearing his country's flag with pride!
On March 31, 2014, Kate made a quick visit to the popular retail store, Gap, acquiring several pieces for the upcoming Royal Tour. She favored stripes, picking up an adorable pair of grey and navy pants and two, footed one-pieces. She stuck with the preppy and summery theme, choosing a plaid top for baby George and denim shorts, keeping the warm climates of Australia and New Zealand in mind. These are great and budget conscious items to scoop up for your own precious little one with warmer weather on the horizon here in the States (after a very cold winter).
